Square Enix has just released the newest Final Fantasy game aimed at iOS action-RPG fans, Final Fantasy: All The Bravest (download it here; price: 350 yen).
Well, it certainly looks pretty awesome. Look at all those classic FF characters fighting for you, all at the same time! Surely dyed-in-the-wool FF fans never thought they'd see the day when all their favorite FF characters were available in a single game. Take a look at the official trailer below to see it in action:
Square is touting this game as a "touch action RPG" which isn't a genre I'm very familiar with. It's really easy to play. Once a character's attack bar fills up, you tap them to start their attack. Multiple characters can attack at the same time.
Every three hours, you're rewarded with one special "Fever Time" bonus where there's zero waiting time between attacks. Such a good way to relieve stress...
There are special "premium characters" that I'm sure fans are happy to see make an appearance. They cost 85 yen each, and it looks like you have to pay first and get a character picked for you at random. You can also buy new stages based on classic FF locations, like Midgar and Zanarkand, for 350 yen a pop.
It seems like this app has a lot to offer. I myself unfortunately do not own an iOS device, so I'm going to have to wait for the Android version before me and 40 of my good ol' FF buddies can get our fight on.
