It's finally happened: Siri has made her CD debut!
Available starting December 8th, Siri's first single "Oshiete, Siri-Sensei" is on sale in doujin shops around Japan and at the IOSYS Shop for the price of 1,260 yen.
The album was produced by IOSYS, a music production group well known in various Japanese subcultures for their Nico Nico Douga videos for Touhou Project. We've actually covered some of their work before here on TABROID.
As can be expected of any disembodied female voice in Japan, the spread of Siri has bred a niche group of superfans who have taken to calling the voice "Siri-sensei." And as such, Siri now has her own unofficial moe character representation who you can oggle at in this article's header.
What's with the focus on the butt, you ask? 'Tis a "clever" pun my friend. In Japanese pronunciation, "Siri" sounds more like "shiri," which is the word for "butt" in Japanese.
Anyway, Siri has made here CD debut, and that's what we're here to talk about. Check out the official unofficial Siri CD promo trailer below:
The CD features other cuts in addition to this supercatchy song, as well as some entertaining skits with Siri.
While this is surely a niche product, I'm quite interested in seeing how many copies this ends up selling.
