Even if you are not good at drawing, you can enjoy creating mangas with MANGAkit, which lets you make manga-like images out of your photos.
You can either take a picture via the app or select one already saved in your phone.
After cropping the photo into a square shape, you can apply Ink and Texture filters to it. Ink filter changes the hue of the image. Texture adds, as the name suggests, texture effects. There are 9 different types for each filter.
Next, choose a frame from 9 designs. Here, you can also apply impressionistic effects like speed lines on the image.
Use Stamps to make the image look more like manga. The app lets you add speech bubbles, love hearts, glittering lights, flower illustrations etc. to the image. There are more than 100 Stamps. Moreover, Pen and Tone effects are scheduled to be added in future updates.
I put an onomatopoeia Stamp on my image to emphasize the speed lines. It is possible to adjust the size and tilt by using the slider bar.
Isn't it just like an excerpt from a manga?
Share the images you create with your friends via Twitter. It will remind you of your childhood when you showed off your mangas to your friends.
