Hey, here's Sonic, which is synonymous with the high-speed, action game.
From a wide variety of smartphone games, today we picked an exhilarating action game for our review.
This SONIC 4 Episode II is from SEGA's best-known action game series. We reviewed Episode I in the past.
The best thing about this series is its speed and briskness. Is it still there even on the smartphone version? Let's find out.
If you're an old fan, you'll love its classic 2D action style inherited in this version. You'll also find familiarity in its music and graphics.
For the old fans, including myself, one worrying thing is its maneuverability on smartphones with touch panel screens. SEGA's response: controlling feature by titling the smartphone in addition to the standard buttons on the screen. I did try this and found very functional after a while.
Another additional feature in this version is the tag team playing with buddy Tails. You can't also miss the new network playing mode for teaming up with another person.
There's a Score Attack Mode for the players who want to dive into and play for many hours. Challenging for better score and time is definitely one of the main elements of this series, by trying out different routes for reaching the goal.
However, maneuvability still is an agenda, which we all smartphone game players are waiting for an innovative solution for.
