You can't help screaming when you actually see it.
Japanese smartphone accessary shop, strapya.com, released 2 crazy things recently. One is an earphone jack plug, which is frighteningly similar to the shape of human finger, and the other is a smartphone stand, which also looks like a finger. WTF...
I can't help but think... why? When you go to the product introduction page, you'll see its color, texture, and feeling, all seem unnervingly close to a real finger. It even says they used an actual woman's finger as a model...
I guess that's the sales point for these products.
Funny thing is that there are 2 versions available; the index finger version and the thumb version for both smartphone stand and earphone jack plug. I can't quite understand why there are these 2 version but I guess there are some serious obsessions and considerations which a mere layman like myself could never understand.
I can't stop thinking the staff in this company is obsessed with black magic or some such thing...?
But things could be worse. They previously released the iPhone case, called "A hand of Nami", which is even weirder (if that is at all possible) than those 2 items. See the product photo below;
Need a hand?
On a scale of 1 to crazy, it scores well into crazy.
Finger-shaped earphone jack plug is available at 780 yen each, and finger-shaped smartphone stand costs 1,680 yen. Currently, advance orders are being taken for these disembodied hands and finger accessories and the products are supposed to be delivered in the middle of August for Japan market.
