I would like to buy it when it really comes to market.
On April 20th, @nekomura_otako posted a design plan of cat-shaped earphone jack accessories to Twitpic (See the picture above). Although it was midnight, many Twitter users favorably responded to the tweet, attracted by the cuteness of the idea. They said:
• It surely will be a big hit. (original tweet)
• Brilliant idea. (original tweet)
• Someone please commercialize it!! (original tweet)
• I want it! Meow, meow! (original tweet)
Surprisingly, it got more than 70 favorites in 5 minutes. Moreover, one of the users immediately made it by hand.
The idea was retweeted by a lot of users, and in an hour one of @nekomura_otako's acquaintances decided to produce it commercially.
The popularity of this idea didn't decline even on the following day, and @nekomura_otako got thousands of followers, 2800 favorites and over 6000 retweets.
The contriver seemed to be surprised at the sensation, but the cuteness of the idea was worthy of such attention. Especially, I think the catloaf version well captures the nonchalant attitude of real cats.
It can be said this is a contemporary way to make a new product.
