Mujinto Dasshutsu is an escape game for Android phones. With its 8-bit graphics and retro music, it will certainly bring back memories of the good old days.
Like many other escape games, Mujinto Dasshutsu's the story starts with your alter ego not knowing where he is. You have to explore the world looking for clues and items to solve mysteries, so that you could eventually get out of the enigmatic situation. Here's a video of actual gameplay.
At the beginning of the game, the pitch-black level might take you aback. Don't worry it's not a bug.
You only have three actions you can perform; Move, search, and use item. After bumping into a wall in the dark cave numerous times, you will find the exit to the outside world. Oh, there's a ship wreckage on the beach. Let's search it.
You have to search practically everywhere. You might find a door that is locked, and you will probably find the key somewhere else. Yes, you must break into somebody's house like that. You should be able to take whatever you find without blinking. You're on a deserted island like LOST. Every man for himself, after all. You run across a crab on the beach? Talk to it!
Experienced escape game players can probably finish the game in about 15 minutes, but someone like me could get stuck forever. At one point I had no clue what to do and couldn't move on for two days. That's when I looked at Google Play's comment section where you can see people helping each other, giving tips and hints to those who are stuck. We're not alone, after all.
