It was last night. Another sleepless night. So I decided to give this sleep aid app Luna a try. What a mistake. My precious sleeping time (and something else precious to me...) both remained unfulfilled...
That's a rather negative way to start of a review, but let me assure you the problem is not with the app, the problem lies with me and my lively imagination. This app is really high quality.
This sleep aid app features the dulcet tones of a young girl that (are supposed to) lull you into a deep and pleasant sleep. But the way the girl on the screen is dressed gives you an idea of what kind of whispers you'll be hearing all through the night...
"No thinking about a happy ending!?"
Anyway, pardon the distraction, but what is supposed to happen is that you're to listen to the recorded whispers (around 30 min) and then naturally fall asleep. You can give the voice a listen on this Youtube video.
You can set which headphone side you'd like to hear the audio from the app, and also change the sound volume within the app. These features are quite convenient and show how well made the app is. You can also set it so that the girl in the app falls asleep with you, and you're left with her light breathing sounds, which are supposed to help get you to sleep.
Those with a pure heart are definitely promised a good night's rest, but for slightly pervy guys such as myself, the large number of suggestive whispers are anything but relaxing. You can also pick which ones you like the most and play them back at will.
Whether you can or can't sleep, this app acts as a nice nighttime companion. And for a limited time, the app is marked down from 500 to 300 yen.
How effective the app is in helping you sleep depends entirely on you.
