Monster Hunter is a series of action role-playing games very popular in Japan. In this series, the player seeks and hunts monsters in a fantasy world.
Monster Hunter Frontier Eggrun is a spin-off app of this series.
As the title suggests, what you do in this game is run, holding an egg. You don't blow and stab enemies. It may not seem to be enough of a challenge, but by beating the game you can get "Event Code", which can be used in the PC and Xbox 360 version of Monster Hunter Frontier Online. So if you are a real monster hunter, why not play it?
The game is extremely simple and great for killing spare time. Touching and holding any point ahead of the hunter on the screen makes him run. You can change his moving path by swiping up and down on the hunter. When you want to stop him, just tap a point on the rear of him.
There will appear enemies which attack the hunter on the way, so the changing of the path and controlling of the running speed are the key to beat the game.
After you complete the mission, you will get items or Event Code. You can use the Event Code on PC's and Xbox 360's Monster Hunter.
By the way, playing Monster Hunter series always makes me want to eat so-called "primeval meat" (or "manga meat"). That's why I went to the CAPCOM BAR in Tokyo, which had just opened on January 25th.
Please look at the picture above. Starting from the left, they are "Instructor's Black Beer", "Hot Mushroom Clam Chowder of Airu Village" and "Let's Go Hunting! Golden Brown Meat", which is what I wanted!
Mmm... Yum-yum! It tastes good!
The restaurant also offers foods and drinks featuring not only Monster Hunter, but other Capcom games such as Ace Attorney and Resident Evil. The staff there all knows how to pump up the mood. It is really an enjoyable place.
On my way home on the Yamanote-line train, I enjoyed playing Eggrun again.
