The action puzzle game, ZOOKEEPER has been around long before smartphones existed. It was sometimes a pre-installed game on traditional cell phones. Now, the same game has arrived to Android as ZOOKEEPER DX TouchEdition.
It's simple to play. Clear out the animals by lining up more than three of the same animal by swapping the two neighboring animals. By clearing out, it means you, as a zookeeper, captured those animals. The look of the cute pixelated animals, gameplay, and story haven't changed at all from the original.
The screen size is quite appropriate, and the game runs smooth, so you can focus on enjoying the game.
As seen in the image below, the animals become angry when you take too long to capture them.
The zoo manager never cheers you up. Below, he is saying "You're never good at this work". He's very strict.
Here are some tips;
-Clear out the animals from the bottom
Even if you see tiles that can easily be lined up, try to clear out tiles from the bottom. Also, it's far easier to match them up vertically than horizontally.
-Ignore the angry animals
Animals, which have been left out after some period of time becomes angry. But don't panic. Just keep your own pace and deal with the ones you can easily remove. Slowly angry animals will turn back to normal. Leaving angry animals doesn't allow you to advance to the next level; however, leaving them doesn't affect your score.
-Tap the Special Panel
At any time during the game, a Special Panel may appear. This panel quickly flicks through all animals. By tapping this tile where an animal appeared, every animal of the same kind will be eliminated. This panel gives you new panels which provides you with more chances to match other panels up.
-Understand your weaknesses
As you get used to it, you will start knowing your bad habits, like the type of animal you tend to miss out. When you find there are no more animals to match up and start to panic, look for the ones you usually miss. In my case, I tend to leave the giraffe out.
Try playing it again with these tips.In the "Normal Game", Rabbits will be added to the screen from Level 7, which is the turning point in this game.
Below is my score. It's been a while since having played this game, so my scores weren't so great.
Since it's so easy to play, this is a great action puzzle game for people who aren't really into action puzzles. I bet you will get hooked on this in no time.
