Aozora Bunko is a Japanese e-library which distributes publications with expired copyrights and copyright-free publication in both text and html format.
For instance, the e-library contains works by famous Japanese writers like Sosuke Natsume, Ryunosuke Akutagawa, Chuya Nakahara, and also some foreign books such as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes series.
Aozora Provider is an Android app that lets you easily download books from Aozora Bunko.
You can find books by authors, titles, recently published, "My Bookshelf," bookmarks, search, monthly ranking, and user reviews.
So if you want to read Rashōmon by Ryunosuke Akutagawa, you can either search the author's name or the title of the book.
Even if you're not sure about which book to read, you can go see what other people are reading in the monthly ranking, or check the user reviews.
Anything you download will be stacked automatically in the "My Bookshelf" section for future access.
As the name of the app suggests, this is just a provider which passes data to another reading application. You will need a separate text viewer installed, such as Tategaki Viewer, Aozora Bunko Viewer, or a text editor like Jota Text Editor.
My personal recommendation would be Tategaki Viewer which is free, and gives you the sense of flipping pages of paperbacks.
