The Boxed Life is an escape adventure game, a type of point and click adventure where you must figure out how to escape from imprisonment.
This game is very unique because it takes you into the dark, comedic world of a depressed man. You don't find a game so dismal yet intriguing like The Boxed Life quite so often. Its title, theme, appearance, and every other aspect of the game is very dark, of course, with a humorous twist.
Here's the description of the game in Android Market.
"You are lost within the confines of your heart, soul and mind. One day you took a leap and explored your surroundings. But you were afraid, absorbing too many thoughts, ideas all at once. Some will withdraw, while others accel, the question is, will you?"

This is my first time playing an escape adventure, so I was totally clueless at first. However, as I moved further on, I got the hang of it. Using the hints shown at every level, and thinking outside the box is the key to having fun with this game.

One thing I liked about the game is how character sits submissively on the ground throughout his journey. It make sense when he's solving brainy problems, but it becomes an unusual yet funny pose when action comes his way.

The storyline involves some touchy subjects. For example, a major Japanese electric power company pops up and you'll find yourself chased by the police and mass media. Kind of sounds like what's going on in Japan right now.
I stopped thinking about this because I figured it could be very depressing. It's kind of hard to comment on the surreal plot but the problem solving-part is well thought out. I bet everyone will have a good time trying to get out of this labyrinth. There is a hidden level, so watch out for that too.
